MGTA News

The Midwest Global Trade Association is an organization of international business professionals that provides education, current information, and support to enhance the international business opportunities of its members and the community.

Goals for the Year

  1. Grow Membership involvement, further develop committee leadership levels, and provide programs for senior management.

  2. Further develop our sponsorship program, website, seminar locations, webinars, forums, events, etc.

  3. Grow webinars, blogs and other high-tech initiatives showing the MGTA as current with global changes and able to communicate on hot topics.

Howard Hanson Dam/Green River Valley - Seaport Update

The Port of Seattle is working with customers, tenants and public agencies to prepare for the possibility of flooding on portions of the Green River due to reduced capacity of the Howard Hanson Dam. While the dam is not in danger of failing, there is increased risk of flooding in some areas of the valley from Auburn through Kent, Tukwila and Renton. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is currently working on repairs to the dam to reduce that risk. Learn more
